Charles Manson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 12, 1934. His mother was very young when she had him and because of that, Manson never met his real dad. After, Manson's mom married another man and later when they divorced, Charles was placed in a boy's school. He would run away and go back to his mom but she didn't want him. After being rejected, he was living on the streets. Because he was free and was able to do whatever he wanted to, he was in jail by the time he was 18 for. When he was released from prison, drugs and music were his two biggest influences. He met some people who had the same interests as him and since they were young, they started to follow Manson.
Manson was able to influence his followers because they had lived a similar life. A lot of his followers were runaways and wanted to be loved. That is how he was able to control them. In 1969, Manson chose four of his followers to murder everyone at a old house of someone he did not like. Inside of the house was Sharon Tate who was a actress, Wojciech Frykowski, Abagail Folger, and Jay Sebring. All of those people were killed by his followers. The next day, Manson told some of his other followers to murder Leno and Rosemary LaBianca because he remembers that he would go to parties in their house. Even though Manson didn't actually kill anyone, he was still sentenced to life in prison. A lot of times, following people isn't a good idea. They can make you do things that are not worth in and can get you in big trouble. It can even ruin your life. Sometimes, following people has a big price. It's is better to be yourself and to pay close attention to the people that influence you. A lot of leaders are just selfish and make people do whatever they want to. Just be yourself. |
